#Pso2 character creation crash install
If not, you simply need to install sound codecs to the system and all should be well.įor option 3, I have a question: have you installed anything audio-related from ANY source? This includes the 3D Sound garbage that comes packed in nVidia driver installers as well. Something wrong with the audio on your system.įor option 1, I would recommend trying a reinstall of the game if you haven't already.įor option 2, you would need to dig around and find out what TYPE of audio file these sounds are, and test to see if your system can even play them. Your system is unable to PLAY the sounds, and the game client just keeps going.ģ. But I'm sure the game would have reported erroneous stuff by now.Ģ. Missing clientside sounds is going to be one of a few things:ġ. Originally posted by Squishy:audio stuffs
#Pso2 character creation crash mod
It would be nice if a mod could acknowledge this and forward it and something actually gets done about this. That's the conclusion I've been able to come up with as well as other players that have been investigating additional voices. So, whatever is going on with me and a few others is related to how the NGS Salon handles additional voices in general, which results in the NGS salon breaking most of your audio in NGS, but retaining all but your voice in base PSO2. Base PSO2 has all of my audio except my voice. Thing is, only my voice is bugged in both games. It's getting to the point to where I might as well just play the game muted. Sega knows the Salon is causing players TONS of issues and no matter how many "fixes" they throw out, they only make things worse. You'll still hear the SFX and voices of those around you, enemy or player. Keep in mind, this audio issue affects most of YOUR character's audio. These "fixes" didn't work for everybody who had the same problem as well.Īgain. I even went the route of taking the 4 days it would normally take me with my net to redownload the entire game and it still didn't fix it. I do sometimes once in a blue moon get all my audio to play for a second during combat randomly and it blasts really loud for a moment then goes mute or quiet. I've tried requipping and changing the voices, but the voice audio issue spread over all voices. I've tried the usual "fixes" that entailed turning off surround sound, turning it back on, muting all game sound from the launcher and in the game then restarting and turning them all back on. Why fix an issue that hasn't affected a large enough player count? Hell, they just recently gave out salon bug compensation and there are still people who have the salon taking SG out instead of taking away passes and doing other nonsense to their game and account. None of which I can recall had audio related issues (I was combing through hundreds of bug reports, I can't be asked to memorize every one of them), yet Sega staff had - around the time it was first addressed - acknowledged that the salon was the result of the missing audio issues for some people but quietly and clearly did nothing to fix it because it apparently didn't affect enough people yet. I searched the official website's bug reports and there were a few salon specific bugs that were still in progress since last year or have been flagged fixed but still aren't fixed. This issue I have - according to a few others that ran into it - was apparently around since a few months after NGS release and stemmed from the NGS Salon. I still have the audio for Giga heartbeats, albeit louder than it usually is.
But, all the other players around me I can hear normally. A lot of PAs don't have sound while others do. Most combat audio for my character is either mute or very low, minus depending on how I use a couple teqs. Because of this, I'm now missing dash sounds, first jump sound, the double jump has a quiet sound, wall kicking has sound every now and then, I have no voices for my character but I can hear everybody else's voices, I'm missing the dive attack slam sound but can hear others' sounds. Not freezing, but the salon did bug out most of my audio while I spent several mil on additional voices and tried using them in the salon.
